animals of Iguazu

I dont know what kind of animal the top two images are but the bottom is a capebarra, a rodent.

Cataratas de Parque Nacional Iguazu-Waterfalls

The river Iguazo is split by more than 20 waterfalls. I was only able to see from the upper side of the falls, to see the lower you must enter Brazil. This area of the upper river was incredible the water fell quickly and was deafening.

mariposas (butterfly) of Iguazu, Argentina

have you ever seen anything like this?

I have never seen such colorful butterflies! Many had one coloring on the outside of the wings and a completely different color and pattern on the inside. The butterflies were everywhere along the trails leading up to the waterfalls. I was only able to capture a few images, unfortunately they move so quickly!

Buenos Aires 4 La Boca

La Boca is a very poor neighborhood; many buildings are barely standing. What is lacking in quality is made up for in creativity; La Boca is a must see tourist sight. People in Buenos Aires call themselves Porteros, a name lifted from the poor folks that lived in La Boca whose occupations revolved around the shipping port.

montevideo, uruguay

After i took this photo i saw a robbing, the first of the trip. A man was talking on his cellphone, a younger kid came up grabbed the mans wallet from his pants pocket and ran. The man ran down the street screaming at the robber. People began yelling and running to catch him, but the kid was too fast. He jumped on the back of an awaiting motorcycle and drove off quickly! I put my camera away and walked back... on my way home I saw a garbage can on fire, the smoke was thick and lasted the entire block...i dont know what is going on here today!

christmas is coming, i wonder where ill be...

colonia, uruguay

Colonia is a small, well groomed, touristy town with only 20,000 people. It was designed by the Portugese and used as a smuggling port into Buenos Aires. Many original buildings and roads remain in excellent condition.

the harbor

aah, these streets were difficult to walk on...especially when im gazing at the buildings and not watching the street. i nearly broke my face a few times...lol.

marie´s getaway

inside the ferry: two floors and an upper deck

The last few days Mo has been busy working on selling the bike in Buenos Aires. The legality of transfering the title is possible, but costly. I decided to head across the river to Uruguay for a short trip. Colonia is only 3 hours away from Buenos Aires. The tickets are somewhat pricey, about 30usd but the ferry is gigantic and very comfortable.
